I’m Rahat, founder and director of RC IT Services.
I’ve worked in IT for more than 10 years, starting in support and progressing into senior IT support, endpoint management and solution design. My background also includes computer science and AI.
I’ve worked with very small businesses and very large organisations. That experience has given me an understanding of how day to day operations, resources and IT needs differ across businesses of different sizes, and why the approach needs to fit the organisation.
That journey has shaped how I work: understand the problem, explain the options clearly and think about how today’s decisions will affect the setup later.
From supporting people to designing their IT
Support work put me close to the problems people face while trying to do their jobs. A device that will not connect or an account that cannot be accessed can interrupt someone’s whole working day. Helping them means understanding what they need to get back to work as well as the technical fault.
As I moved into endpoint management and design, my work expanded to how computers and mobile devices are configured and managed. This includes Microsoft Intune and mobile device management, often called MDM.
Working across support and device management gave me experience of both resolving individual issues and planning the systems behind them. It informs how I approach access, configuration and ongoing care for business devices.
Why I started RC IT Services
I started RC IT Services to bring that experience to small and medium sized businesses. My aim is to help them build a solid, scalable foundation for their IT, with support that makes the technology easier to manage.
For a growing business, a new employee, another location or an office move can change what is needed from the existing setup. I wanted to offer a service that considers those changes alongside the day to day support.
That is why the work starts with a conversation about the business: how people work, what is getting in their way and what they are planning next. The technical recommendations should follow those needs.
How that experience shapes the service
Clear communication matters to me throughout a project. I explain the proposed work in plain English, agree the scope and provide updates so clients understand what is happening and what comes next.
My work through RC IT Services includes WiFi and audio design and installation during an office move for Harley Street Injectables, and a custom website with ongoing hosting and updates for Cakery in the Making. Each project starts with a different business requirement.
My computer science and AI background also informs how I assess technology. The question is whether a tool is useful for the work at hand and can be managed responsibly within the business.
